Celebrating 10 years of Impact
As a woman of faith and action, I couldn't shake Acts 4:32 out of my mind, "Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common." The concept seemed so simple, so simple that it became the foundation of our vision and here we are, 10 years later!
When I started this journey 10 years ago after having experienced homelessness myself I never imagined following the tug to show up would lead to today. Today we stand with dozens of local and national partners, we stand on having distributed over 4k hygiene/clothing items to those in homelessness, we stand with an impact of over 3k engagements with youth in shelters, we stand for a community often misunderstood, we stand on integrity, love, purpose and impact. We stand together.I emphasize we because the only ME of this journey was the following of the tug.
Although this journey came from a place of personal experience, it continues to grow into a space of healing and opportunities for so many.
Whatever that tug is in your heart, follow it. The beauty of life is that we're not called to live it for ourselves nor by ourselves. I can honestly say many of you who are reading this started as partners and have become friends. Thank you for your commitment, passion, time, talent, prayer and presence.
